Summary
Apply RM Client Connect Software Update to servers.
Description
Any references to RM Community Connect 3 in this document apply equally to RM Smart-Tools 3.
RM Type Manager ADM templates that come with RM Client Connect, overwrite the ADM templates created by RM Type Manager that come with MS Office 2007 Configuration CD. The Office 2007 templates (RM Office 2007 Policies.adm and RM Outlook 2007 Policies.adm) are missing after installing RM Client Connect.

We recommend that you apply this Software Update if the above mentioned RM Client Connect issue is on your network.

Known issues
At the time of writing there are no known issues related to HFXCC3233.
Requirements
HFXCC3233 should be installed on RM Community Connect 3 networks with Service Release 5 (SR5) or above.
This Software Update should be installed on to all RM Community Connect 3 servers with RM Client Connect.
Note: The RM Community Connect 3 servers do not need to be restarted in order to install this Software Update completely.
What will this RM Client Connect Software Update change?
HFXCC3233 performs the following changes in the RM Community Connect 3 servers:
Copies the two ADM templates - RM Office 2007 Policies.adm and RM Outlook 2007 Policies.adm to the server path D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\Type Manager\ADM.
Adds RM Office 2007 Policies.adm and RM Outlook 2007 Policies.adm entries to the following servers registry hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research Machines\Network Management\Type Manager\UserType ADMs.
Adds an RM Outlook 2007 Policies.adm entry to the following servers registry hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research Machines\Network Management\Type Manager\Internet & Email ADMs.
Who should install this RM Client Connect Software Update?
You should apply this RM Client Connect Software Update if the issue mentioned is on your RM Community Connect 3 network with RM Client Connect.
HFXCC3233 should be applied to all RM Community Connect 3 domain controllers.
The RM Community Connect 3 servers do not need to be restarted in order to install this RM Client Connect Software Update completely.

Choose to Save the file, browse to a temporary location you wish to save to (for example D:\temp) and click Save.
When it has downloaded, follow the installation instructions below to install the RM Client Connect Software Update.

Installation Instructions
Note: If you previously started to install the RM Client Connect Software Update but cancelled the operation, follow the installation instructions in the 'Installing after cancelling a previous install' section below.
Download HFXCC3233.
Log on to your first RM Community Connect 3 domain controller as a System Administrator and copy the RM Client Connect Software Update to a temporary location (eg D:\temp).
Run the RM Client Connect Software Update by double-clicking the self-extracting executable file (HFXCC3233.exe). The RM Client Connect Software Update will extract files automatically and run the RM Installation Assistant to begin the installation.
When prompted, click Continue.
The installation will proceed automatically. When prompted that the RM Installation Assistant has finished, click Finish.
Repeat Steps 2-5 at all your other RM Community Connect 3 domain controllers.
When all RM Community Connect 3 domain controllers have had the RM Client Connect Software Update applied, log on to the first RM Community Connect 3 domain controller server in each site as the administrator user, and verify the changes mentioned above have been made.
Installing after cancelling a previous install
Browse to D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\RM Hotfixes\HFXCC3233_extracted and double-click the file RM Installation Assistant.exe. (If this folder or its contents do not exist, re-run the HFXCC3233.exe file downloaded from the RM Support Web site).
Follow the procedures in 'How to install the RM Client Connect Software Update ' from step 4 above.
Important - interaction with RM Service Releases
The RM Client Connect Software Update can be installed on to networks running RM Community Connect 3 with RM Client Connect and HFXCC3110B or equivalent.
HFXCC3233 is not included in Service Release 5 or Service Release 6. It does needs to be re-applied if RM Client Connect is reinstalled.
