Problem Statement
Microsoft have released significant security updates to key Windows components to improve their security and performance. HFXCC3052 contains these updates in a format easily applied to Community Connect 3 networks.

This hotfix should be installed on to all Community Connect 3 servers. Servers and workstations will need to be restarted for the hotfix to be applied fully.

Note: HFXCC3052 requires Service Release 3 to have been applied to the network. The hotfix will check for the installation of Service Release 3 and will not install if it is not detected.

Please read this document in full, as there is an Additional Information section referring to a critical hotfix for Microsoft Exchange 2000 servers. If you have one or more Exchange 2000 servers, you should install this hotfix too.

  4. At the Setup Wizard screen, choose Next.
  5. Accept the License Agreement, then choose Next.
  6. If an 829436 Setup window appears, choose Continue to acknowledge that the hotfix will need to stop and restart services.
