Problem Statement
Hotfix HFXCC3057 modified the RM Station Tidy and RM Keeplist components to permit the management of profiles based upon the number of profiles on the workstation rather than the space they occupied. In doing so, this provided much faster operation because the keeplist was used as the list of those profiles to keep. This has been identified as too severe for existing users of shared laptops.
The following issues have been reported following the installation of hotfix HFXCC3057:
Shared Laptop station types experienced profile deletions on reboot, potentially causing loss of data
Local account profiles were deleted on reboot. Where stations have been Smart Cliented after a local account has been in use, the profile for that user will be deleted on reboot
The algorithm for determining which profiles should be deleted to conserve space is not appropriate for every scenario for shared laptops.
What will this Hotfix rollback change?
The HFXCC3057 Rollback will return workstations to version 1.5.0.0 of the RM Keeplist component and will install version 1.10.0.0 of RM Station Tidy.
Who should install this Hotfix rollback?
Customers who have installed HFXCC3057 are advised to apply the rollback.
