Symptoms

Program Sets are not delivered successfully, resulting in shortcuts missing from folders within the Start menu, Programs folder, or Start menu, Programs being empty. If the user logs off and back on to the Community Connect 3 workstation, Program Set shortcuts are delivered correctly.

This problem is caused by a Group Policy Object setting delivered by the version of the RM Group Policy Objects on the Update Consolidation CD.

Applying this Software Update resolves the problem by updating the relevant Group Policy entry for each RM User Type.

You should apply this Software Update if you are running a Community Connect 3 network, are experiencing the problem noted above and have either installed the RM Consolidation CD yourself, or have had it installed during network commissioning.

Impact on your network
  • This Software Update should be installed on the first Community Connect 3 domain controller in each site on the network.
  • Servers will not need to be restarted after applying this Software Update.
  • Users will need to log off and back on to correct the problem.
