Description
**Please note this applies to Community Connect 3™ and RM Smart-Tools 3 networks**
Before installing any software update, please refer to TEC90813 and DWN59018 on the RM Support website. These articles detail RM's recommendations regarding software update installation and support.
Any references to Community Connect 3 in this document apply equally to RM Smart-Tools 3.
HFXCC3133 is included in Service Release 5 for Community Connect 3; if you have installed Service Release 5 on your network you do not need to install HFXCC3133 separately.
Platforms
The Software Update can be installed on to Community Connect 3 networks running Service Release 4.
Symptoms
Program Sets are not delivered successfully, resulting in shortcuts missing from folders within the Start menu, Programs folder, or Start menu, Programs being empty. If the user logs off and back on to the Community Connect 3 workstation, Program Set shortcuts are delivered correctly.
Cause
This problem is caused by a Group Policy Object setting delivered by the version of the RM Group Policy Objects on the Update Consolidation CD.
Applying this Software Update resolves the problem by updating the relevant Group Policy entry for each RM User Type.
Requirements
You should apply this Software Update if you are running a Community Connect 3 network, are experiencing the problem noted above and have either installed the RM Consolidation CD yourself, or have had it installed during network commissioning.
Impact on your network
This Software Update should be installed on the first Community Connect 3 domain controller in each site on the network.
Servers will not need to be restarted after applying this Software Update.
Users will need to log off and back on to correct the problem.
Download Instructions
Log on to your first Community Connect 3 domain controller as Administrator (not SystemAdmin).
Click the HFXCC3133.exe file link below to download the Software Update.
Choose to Save the file, browse to the temporary location you wish to save it to (e.g. 'Desktop' or D:\Temp) and click Save.
When the file has downloaded, follow the installation instructions below to install the Software Update.

Installation Instructions
How to install the Software Update
Note: If you previously started to install the Software Update but cancelled the operation, follow the installation instructions in the 'Installing after cancelling a previous install' section below:
Download HFXCC3133.
Log on to your first Community Connect 3 domain controller as Administrator (not SystemAdmin) and copy the Software Update to a temporary location (e.g. D:\temp).
Run the Software Update by double-clicking the self-extracting executable file (HFXCC3133.exe). The Software Update will extract files automatically and run the RM Installation Assistant to begin the installation.
When prompted, click Continue.
The installation will proceed automatically. When prompted that the RM Installation Assistant has finished, click Finish.
Users will need to log off and back on to a Community Connect 3 workstation for the change to register for them.
Installing after cancelling a previous install
Browse to D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\RM Hotfixes\HFXCC3133_extracted and double-click the file RM Installation Assistant.exe. (If this folder or its contents does not exist, re-run the HFXCC3133.exe file downloaded from the RM Support website).
Follow the procedures in 'How to install the Software Update' from step 4 above.
IMPORTANT - Interaction with RM Service Releases
The components of HFXCC3133 are included in Service Release 5.
The Software Update can be installed on to networks running Community Connect 3 with Service Release 4.
If this Software Update is installed before the CC3 XPSP2 Update Pack it will need to be re-applied.
