**Please note this only applies to Community Connect� 3 and RM Smart-Tools 3 networks**

Note: Any references to Community Connect 3 in this document apply equally to RM Smart-Tools 3.

Before installing any software update, please refer to TEC90813 and DWN59018 on the RM Support website (see 'Other Useful Articles' below). These articles detail RM's recommendations regarding software update installation and support.

HFXCC3137 fully supersedes HFXCC3115.

HFXCC3137 updates RM Type Manager to correct the issues described below:

1.      Exporting then re-importing a User or Workstation Type does not work correctly - for example, mapped drives, printers and program sets are not delivered. Note that this fix only affects importing types. Types previously exported will still be valid and do not need to be re-exported. After installing this fix it will be possible to import these and all future exported types.

2.      RM Type Manager does not function fully in networks where the domain DNS settings do not match the domain NetBIOS settings.

You should apply this Update if you are using RM Type Manager and are affected by any of the problems noted above.

HFXCC3137 can be installed on to Community Connect 3 networks with RM Type Manager.

• This Update should be installed on all Community Connect 3 domain controllers (beginning with the Forest Root).
• Servers and workstations will not need to be restarted after applying this Update.
• HFXCC3137 will update the core RM Type Manager component to version 1.21.0.0.

1. Log on to your first Community Connect 3 domain controller as Administrator (not SystemAdmin).
2. Click the HFXCC3137.exe file link below to download the Update.
3. Choose to Save the file, browse to the temporary location you wish to save it to (e.g. 'Desktop' or D:\Temp) and click Save.
4. When the file has downloaded, follow the installation instructions below to install the Update.

How to install the Update

Note: If you previously started to install the Update but cancelled the operation, follow the installation instructions in the 'Installing after cancelling a previous install' section below:

1. Download HFXCC3137.
2. Log on to your first Community Connect 3 domain controller as Administrator (not SystemAdmin) and copy the Update to a temporary location (e.g. D:\temp).
3. Run the Update by double-clicking the self-extracting executable file (HFXCC3137.exe).
   The Update will extract files automatically and run the RM Installation Assistant to begin the installation.
4. When prompted, click Continue.
5. The installation will proceed automatically. When prompted that the RM Installation Assistant has finished, click Finish.
6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for each additional Community Connect 3 domain controller.

Installing after cancelling a previous install

1. Browse to D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\RM Hotfixes\HFXCC3137_extracted and double-click the file RM Installation Assistant.exe (if this folder or its contents does not exist, re-run the HFXCC3137.exe file downloaded from the RM Support website).
2. Follow the procedures in 'How to install the Update' from step 4 above.

• The components of HFXCC3137 are included in RM Service Release 6 for Community Connect 3.
• The Update can be installed onto networks running Community Connect 3 with RM Type Manager.

• HFXCC3137 will update RM Type Manager to version 1.21.0.0
