Update to RM Auditor Additions to resolve a Web Monitor on Client Connect issue.
Description
Note: Any references to Community Connect 3™ in this document apply equally to RM Smart-Tools 3.
Before installing any software update, please refer to TEC90813 and DWN59018 on the RM Support Web site (see 'Other Useful Articles' below). These articles detail RM's recommendations regarding software update installation and support.
Platforms
HFXCC3193 is applicable to Community Connect 3 networks with RM Auditor Additions - Web Monitor and RM Client Connect.
Symptoms
Web Monitor components have been found to be incompatible with Windows Vista™. This issue prevents Web Monitor from being installed on Windows Vista based clients.
This update provides a Windows Vista compatible version of the Web Monitor components.
Requirements
You should only install this update if you have both RM Auditor Additions - Web Monitor and RM Client Connect installed on your network.
Note: This software update required the following components to be allocated.
RM Logging Service.
RM Remote Proxy Broker.
RM Network Monitor.
RMC3IEngine.
RM Web Traffic Monitor.
RM SM Utility.
HFXCC3193 should be installed on all Community Connect 3 Domain Controller servers beginning with the Forest root. Servers will not need to be restarted after applying this software update, but workstations will need to be restarted to upgrade the Web Monitor components.
Download Instructions
Log on to your first Community Connect 3 domain controller as Administrator (not SystemAdmin).
Click the HFXCC3193.exe file link below to download the Update.
Choose to Save the file, browse to the temporary location you wish to save it to (eg 'Desktop' or C:\Temp) and click Save.
When the file has downloaded, follow the installation instructions below to install the Update.

How to install the Update
Note: If you previously started to install the Update but cancelled the operation, follow the installation instructions in the 'Installing after cancelling a previous install' section below:
Log on to your first Community Connect 3 domain controller as Administrator (not SystemAdmin) and copy the Update to a temporary location (eg D:\temp).
Run the Update by double-clicking the self-extracting executable file (HFXCC3193.exe). The Update will extract files automatically and run the RM Installation Assistant to begin the installation.
When prompted, click Continue.
The installation will proceed automatically. When prompted that the RM Installation Assistant has finished, click Finish.
Repeat steps 2 to 5 for each additional Community Connect 3 servers.
Restart your Community Connect 3 workstations for the Update to complete the installation.
Installing after cancelling a previous install
Browse to D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\RM Hotfixes\HFXCC3193_extracted and double-click the file RM Installation Assistant.exe (if this folder or its contents does not exist, re-run the HFXCC3193.exe file downloaded from the RM Support Web site).
Follow the procedures in 'How to install the Update' from step 3 above.
Important - Interaction with RM Service Releases
The components of HFXCC3193 will be included in a future Community Connect 3 Service Release.
This Update can be installed on to networks running Community Connect 3 with RM Auditor Additions - Web Monitor and RM Client Connect.
HFXCC3193 is not included in Service Release 4 or 5.
